Why Stitch with Megan?
I believe that needlepoint is so much more than covering a canvas with thread. It’s about slowing down, being creative, connecting with others, and enjoying the process.
My love of needlepoint began when I was five years old, sitting beside my grandmother. She was wonderfully talented and taught me my very first stitches. Somehow, I still have that first piece shown here. You can see the imperfect stitches and I am thankful that my kind grandmother let the mistakes stay as I stitched them. She made the process fun and I thank her for gifting me a lifelong passion.
Today, I truly love teaching others. In my classes, there are no silly questions, no pressure, and absolutely no judgment. Every stitcher learns differently, and every lesson is personalized to your goals, experience and pace. My intention is to help you discover what works, build your confidence, and enjoy every stitch along the way.
I like to say there’s no Needlepoint Police here! Needlepoint is a creative hobby, not a test. If you are enjoying your stitching and creating something you love, you are doing it right.
